Four-day weeks are the best! This weekend is going to be way more relaxed than the last few and I am not sad about it. Tonight I have nothing and I am completely cool with that. Saturday I have a much needed hair appointment (remember my hair inspo?) and Sunday was supposed to be dotted with church and soccer games, but the games were cancelled. I still haven’t decided on what to do with my hair yet, so I guess we will see when I get there. For Sunday’s dinner I am going to try a new recipe for a bolar roast in the crockpot and I’ll be sure to let you know how it came out.
On to a few things I’ve been loving and coveting lately…
Last year I received an Urban Decay eyeshadow color as a free birthday gift from Ulta. It’s called Midnight Cowboy and it became a favorite of both my daughter and me. This eyeshadow is a perfect shimmery shade of champagne and mauve combined. So pretty! So when Ulta had the Urban Decay shadows for $10 last month, I marked my calendar to place an order on the day they were on sale. However, they had two colors – Midnight Cowboy and Midnight Cowboy Rides Again. Since I wasn’t home and couldn’t remember which one we had, I ordered both. After all, I got two for $20, rather than $20 each. Left – Midnight Cowboy and Right – Midnight Cowboy Rides Again. This week I wore Midnight Cowboy Rides Again and to my surprise, it was shedding glitter all over my cheeks. The one student who I would least expect to notice, did. So if you are a fan of glitter on your face, that shade may be for you. It could be fun for a night out? Maybe?
Last weekend my friends from school took our yearly cabin trip to the mountains. Although it was cold and rainy this year, we still had lots of laughs, good food, watched a few episodes of Jersey Shore and Impractical Jokers, snuck some time around the camp fire, and had this view.

I got some comments on my outfit and accessories when I posted a picture on Instagram last weekend. I was heading to my friend’s shower and wanted to wear something where I was still covered up, yet had touches of spring. This necklace is a SUGARFIX by BaubleBar for Target find and the bag was from Amazon. I bought the jumpsuit last season, but here’s one that’s similar in a sleeveless version. Both mine and the similar jumpsuit are by Vince Camuto. It was so comfy for the shower and you just can’t beat flowy pants and an elastic waist!
I’ve been on the hunt for a piece of art to go above my bar cart, although I like the size of this print, I’m not sure I like the gold running through. The more I look at it, the more I think I may return it. I originally wanted to put my Kristin print there, but I think I found another place in my home that’s more suitable.

A few leftover flowers from my dad’s birthday dinner provide the purest tablescape. The cool shadows on the wall from the chandelier don’t hurt either.

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend! xo
