Our Traditional Holiday Table

Our holiday table looks a little different this year. In the past, I've set our places in more of a neutral palate - maybe touches of pinks and greens - with whites and creams and lots of texture. But this year, I was definitely feeling the need to add a little red.

I found these green books last weekend at an antique mall, so they were the springboard for this tablescape. I knew I had the vintage red wine glasses and really felt I wanted to make this year feel super festive and bright.

While at Target, I spotted this pretty plaid print. They come in both the napkin and dishtowel size. I chose the dishtowel size because I thought a simple knotted cloth set on a plate toned down all the patterns and gold.

The gold pinecone trees are also a recent Target find...and I still LOVE my black and gold dot plates from Walmart. Every time I go back, they are out of stock.

This pretty fur table runner was a Home Goods find a year or two ago. I love the dimension and warmth it adds to the center of the table. The only downside is that your candlesticks need a wide base to remain straight.

Finally, I also picked up these cute cloth cocktail napkins from Target, too.

I've been loving the time I had this past weekend to just putz around the house, making it merry and cozy. Some of my favorite moments are unboxing items from Christmases past and reusing them in a new way each year. Enjoy! xo
