The best part about a neutral kitchen is that it’s so easy to change things up a bit here and there. [Cue the above grainy photo to be used as reference]. I’ve been seeing a ton of vintage/vintage-looking rugs on Instagram and blog posts for a while now, and I think it’s time for me to add one to my space. Specifically for rugs in the kitchen, I don’t like to spend a lot of money or go with anything too pricey because I feel they are destined to be food splattered and soiled. Therefore, I usually start my search with websites like Overstock and Wayfair. They always have a good selection at reasonable prices. Several rugs in my home are from Rugs USA, but their website doesn’t seem to be working at the moment. Bummer. I’ve had good luck with them in the past and was looking forward to taking a look at their selection too. Target sometimes has some good ones, as well as Home Goods and Marshalls. Looks like I will be hitting those stores soon!
I scoured a few of my favorite sites and found some rugs that are on the right track for the look that I want.
Starting with Target, I am now kicking myself for not scooping up this rug. About a month ago they had it in a runner and it would have been perfect. It was on a killer sale, but at the time I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I love the pink and grey vintage style…so pretty!
I’m not sold on this rug from Wayfair. The colors are good, but I am not totally feeling the pattern. And for some reason, it looks vintage-y, but not quite hitting the mark.
Jaw drop to the floor beautiful! Holy cow! This beauty on Etsy is out of my price range for a kitchen rug, but a girl can wish. So good! I love everything about it…the colors, pattern, texture and patina, but it needs to come down a few hundred dollars!
Overstock had a few, including this one. It’s a darker shade of pink than I was hoping for, but it’s nice. I’m not sure if it’s for my space though.
There was a bunch of pink and grey combo Turkish rugs on eBay too. The color and pattern in this one caught my eye right away. Its not as pricey as the one from Etsy, but I still think I can find something more reasonable.
This was another one from eBay. With a more neutral background, it doesn’t scream total pink!
